American Express Financial Services, Minneapolis, Minnesota--is upgrading their legacy applications on Unidata to a more robust and customized application using IBM's DB2 database with a Web Sphere front end. They have teamed up with Strategy 7 for the purchase, support and implementation of the Data Stage ETL tool to migrate historical multi-valued data to the DB2 Relational Database. Data Stage was chosen as the tool of choice for the migration effort, due to the complexities involved with this migration, including the expansion of the data, handling duplicate records created in the normalization of the data, data typing, formatting and data constraints, as well as, the implementation of complex business rule logic.

Allied Office Products, Clinton, New Jersey--has chosen Strategy 7 for the implementation of a Data Migration Process to migrate legacy data from the UniData multi-valued database with data movement from UniData's back end to Oracle's front end e-commerce systems, using the Data Stage ETL tool. Open connectivity has been a key factor in choosing this migration path, so that the company does not create a new dependency on the target database platform.
