ONware

What is ONware?
ONware is a MultiValue application program interface. ONware allows users of UniVerse, UniData, PI/open and D3 database management systems to run their programs, dictionaries, PROCs, paragraphs and sentences directly on the operating system, without change to the code and without the need for the DBMS in which they were developed.

ONgroup clients worldwide are using ONware to achieve business solutions through:

Migration of valuable and irreplaceable business systems to Oracle Server
Integration of legacy systems and data with Oracle applications
Data sharing between Oracle and MultiValue type databases
Normalization of multivalued data to the relational normal form
Re-use of mature and stable business logic on Oracle and other relational platforms
Maintenance of a single set of source code while deploying applications on multiple O/S and DBMS platforms
Supported Databases
ONware currently supports migration of Multivalue applications to:
Oracle
MS SQL Server
ONware is designed for organizations that have significant investment in mature and stable applications developed for a MultiValue platform. Using ONware, these applications can communicate with, migrate to and be enhanced and further developed for Oracle and other relational and object-relational databases.

ONware provides a run-time and development environment, complete with tools familiar to the MultiValue developer: a BASIC language compiler, Query language, Command language, MultiValue line editor, Global Calling Interface and others. Your IT staff can continue to maintain and develop applications on the Oracle DBMS, just as they do now, and at the same time learn the new technology, tools and products available in the world of Oracle.
